​As the the new academic year begins, SVSHP is hard at work planning our activities for the coming year. Below is a sampling of some of the events we are pursuing.

• Meet a Resident - A monthly event where students have a chance to talk with current residents to gain insight into the residency experience.

• Midyear Clinical Meeting - An annual event held by ASHP, it is the largest gathering of pharmacy professionals in the world. This year it is being help in New Orleans on December 4-8.

• Clinics - Events such as blood pressure or asthma screenings provide SVSHP with opportunities to reach out to the community

If you think you might be interested in working in a hospital, an ambulatory care setting, nuclear pharmacy, informatics, or any other advanced practice setting where a residency is required or preferred, you should consider joining SVSHP. SVSHP offers events like Meet a Resident to give you the information you need to succeed and support like Midyear Clinical Meeting subsidies to get the experiences and networking opportunities you need to excel.
